Upcoming TIAC STEM breakfast event
Date Published: 27/05/2013

TIAC is currently undertaking a research project with the strategic aim of strengthening the teaching of science and mathematics in Western Australian primary and secondary schools.

To support the project, TIAC will hold a breakfast event on 25 June 2013. The breakfast will be hosted by Professor Lyn Beazley AO, Chief Scientist of Western Australia, and will be launched by the Hon. Peter Collier, Minister for Education.

The event is focused on organisations that are employers of STEM graduates or STEM-skilled individuals and provides a key opportunity for senior representatives from industry and other relevant organisations to engage with this strategically important study. Presentations will provide more details on the project, including feedback on the responses from the formal education sectors about just what type of inputs from external supporters will enhance the teaching of science and mathematics in our primary and secondary schools. A final interactive session will enable direct input from the breakfast participants.

Additionally, and particularly if your organisation is unable to be represented at the event, we encourage you to contribute to the project by completing the short questionnaire.
