TIAC Report released: Productive partnerships: Advancing STEM education in Western Australian schools
Date Published: 17/07/2012

The report Productive partnerships: Advancing STEM education in Western Australian schools and its supporting volume outlines opportunities for stakeholders to strengthen both the formal and external components of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Western Australia.

Commissioned and overseen by the TIAC Science Education Committee and endorsed by TIAC, the report highlights the potential to generate further support for STEM education by actively engaging organisations and companies seeking stronger STEM outcomes from our school education system.

TIAC recognises that the State’s capacity to achieve excellence in science and innovation depends heavily on the outcomes from education in STEM, and therefore agrees that additional support for education in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in Western Australia’s primary and secondary schools is strategically important.
